Beşiktaş started their Europa League match at Istanbul Tupras Stadium attacking, only to see the visitors pull ahead 1-0 through Omar Marmoush’s penalty kick on 19 minutes. While the Black Eagles were trying to recover from the shock of the goal , Dina Ebimbe doubled Eintracht Frankfurt’s advantage with a one touch finish inside the six yard line three minutes later. After Ciro Immobile missed a penalty for Beşiktaş at the 27th-minute mark, the German team took their 2-0 advantage into half-time. In the second half, Beşiktaş pushed to reduce the deficit and had some decent chances yet a late goal from Ansgar Knauff put the game out of their reach. Black Eagles’ consolation goal scored by Arthur Masuaku in stoppage time would not alter the outcome.
