The two teams played head-to-head in the first quarter with Beşiktaş Fibabanka trailing 24-22. While Black Eagles, who were playing without their ailing shooting guard Jonah Mathews, faltered defensively, Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv extended their lead to 54-41 going into half-time. In the second half, Beşiktaş fought back and put together a late surge to cut the deficit, but the Israeli team managed to keep the margin intact for the victory.
