Beşiktaş opened the game with a brilliant goal from Michy Batshuayi, but the home side answered back through Mustapha Yatabere on 26 minutes. Black and Whites regrouped quickly, and Rachid Gheazzal put them back in front just before the half-time break, with a superb header from near the penalty spot. Sivasspor applied a lot of pressure for an equaliser in the second half, but the resilient Beşiktaş refused to give an inch to their hosts and put the game away on a 73rd-minute Batshuayi penalty. Despite seeing their lead cut to one by a Sivasspor penalty-kick from Fayçal Fajr, the Black Eagles weathered the late storm to run out 3-2 winners.
