The Black and Whites took the lead with Adem Ljajic after 14 minutes, but the visitors Konyaspor responded quickly through Ömer Ali Şahiner 5 minutes later. The King Burak Yılmaz put his team back in front again from a splendid free-kick on 34 minutes and closed the scoring for the first half. Beşiktaş kept the pressure on in the second frame, only to see the substitute Moryke Fofana level the matters in the 75th-minute. Despite the late equaliser, the determined Black Eagles refused to give up and got their reward in the injury time with substitute Shinji Kagawa who secured the all three points for Beşiktaş as soon as he set his foot on the pitch.
