MATCH REPORT

The Black Eagles failed to put an end to their 14-game losing streak to the crosstown-rivals Fenerbahçe in Game 4 and lost the Turkish Super League Finals series 4—0 tonight, to wrap up the season in second-place. Following a cold first quarter in which they fell behind 24-19, the men in Black and White took control of the offensive board in the second to surge ahead 47-42 at the half. Beşiktaş Sompo Japan managed to carry that five-point lead heading to the fourth quarter. However, just like in the previous games, the Black Eagles committed too many unforced turnovers down the stretch that allowed the game go into the over-time. The motivated Fenerbahçe prevailed in the extra five minutes to claim the national title by four points, shifting Beşiktaş’ hopes to next season.
