Mete Düren (born 1963 in Istanbul) completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. Pursuing an academic career in General Surgery, he attained the rank of Associate Professor in 1997 and became a Professor in the Department of General Surgery in 2003. He currently continues his academic and professional work in the field of Endocrine Surgery. Married and a father of four, Düren speaks German and English.
