Beşiktaş have appointed Giovanni van Bronckhorst as the new Head Coach of the Black Eagles in 2024, on a two-year contract with the option of an extra year. Bronckhorst (born 1975 in Rotterdam, Netherlands) played for prominent European teams such as Feyenoord, Glasgow Rangers, Arsenal and Barcelona as left-back and made 106 appearances for the Dutch national team. After retiring from active football with numerous titles in 2010, he coached Feyenoord, Guangzhou City and Glasgow Rangers.
