“When I came to this club three years ago, I couldn't have imagined that we would play six finals in two years, that we would take this club to the top of Turkish basketball, that we would become one of the best clubs in Europe.
Beşiktaş fans, on the other hand, are a completely different story... Nobody expected the stands to be so full. They came here to support us because they knew we kept on fighting no matter what happened. They came here because they knew that we would put our hearts and souls on the court for Beşiktaş. I am tremendously proud of my players who have represented Beşiktaş in this way throughout the season.
We've had a lot of injuries in these playoffs. Our four key players were missing in tonight’s game. Despite the injuries, my players gave their all on the court and pushed themselves to the limit. I salute them all.
Finally, I want to congratulate Fenerbahçe Beko. They worked hard and deserved the title.”
