New Black Eagle Orkun Kökçü, who joined the team's training camp in Austria, spoke to the press before training:
 
“-I've been a die-hard Beşiktaş fan since I was a little kid. My club and our supporters gave me a very warm welcome and  I thank them for it. Now we're preparing for our upcoming Shakhtar Donetsk match. I'll try to do my best.
 
-I'm a little excited. My number 10 jersey was worn by great Beşiktaş legends whose matches I watched as a kid. There's some pressure on me. And that's a good thing in football. Without pressure, you can't show your true potential.
 
 
-Our Coach Ole Solskjaer told me his plans. He explained the kind of game he wants. I will work hard to fulfill his wishes. I cannot wait to get on the pitch with my teammates  and  be part of that great atmosphere.
 
 
-Turkish Super League should not be underestimated. I came to this league at the age of 24. Hopefully, other players who play for major European teams will come here at my age as well, and the quality of our league will increase even further. So, I hope my transfer to Beşiktaş sends a message to them.
 
-I told Beşiktaş Chairman Serdal Adalı that Beşiktaş was my childhood dream. Then, things happened very quickly, but we still had to wait for SL Benfica’s approval. Now, I am where I want to be.
 
-After a busy schedule, I am well rested now. I want to be ready for the Shakhtar Donetsk match. I'll do my best for that."
