“-You had other offers. What did make you choose Beşiktaş?
-I felt it was the right time to try something new in my career. I'm not afraid to leave my comfort zone and move to a new place. You know, I was in Italy before. Now, I have the chance to live and play in a beautiful country like Türkiye.
 
 
-Did anyone influence your decision?
-I was on holiday in Mexico when the offer came. I had the chance to talk to Beşiktaş’ Head Coach. I became fascinated by what he told me. I already knew the club. I watched them in the Champions League during my teenage years. It's great to be here now, to experience the life and culture here. And I'm proud to call myself a Beşiktaş player.
 
 
-Did you talk to former Beşiktaş players before coming here?
-Yes, I did. I spoke to Michy Batshuayi, Dele Alli and Nathan Redmond. I also called Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Everyone had very nice things to say about the club and the  living here. But the most important thing was my family's perspective. Everyone spoke very positively.
 
 
-How do you describe yourself on the pitch?
-I am a player who wants to win every game. The fans will see that part of me right from the kick-off. I do everything to help my team win. I am here to score goals. But if I have to defend, I will do that too.
 
 
-Did you share social media messages with Beşiktaş fans in the past?
-Since the first years of my football career, I have been receiving supportive messages from Beşiktaş fans. Every year, I receive invitations for coming to Beşiktaş. And finally, I am here. I am honoured to play for them.
 
-What will be your main goal at Beşiktaş?
-To win trophies… My goal is to win trophies, and I have done that with other clubs. Now, I want to win trophies here as well.
 
 
-What is your message to Beşiktaş fans?
-We are just trying to get used to each other now. But when the season starts, we will give our best to make our fans happy. And at the end of the season, we will  lift the trophies all together."
