Beşiktaş Chairman  Mr. Hasan Arat and Beşiktaş Board of Directors hosted Fenerbahçe Sports Club Chairman Mr. Ali Koç and accompanying Fenerbahçe Board Members at Tüpraş Stadium today.  Beşiktaş Chairman Arat made the following statement regarding the unique visit by crosstown rival Fenerbahçe:  

 "As a long-time rival and friend, they visited our newly elected Board of Directors. We exchanged ideas and talked about our ongoing problems. We also discussed the problems of Turkish Football. It was an extremely useful meeting. In view of recent unfortunate incidents, Turkish teams must compete in a more peaceful and conflict-free atmosphere.  I hope that this friendly meeting will set an example to other Turkish clubs. Everyone should remember that the sports clubs are just rivals and not the enemies of each other.  In return, we are going to pay a visit to Fenerbahçe Sports Club in near future. I would like to thank Mr. Ali Koç and Fenerbahçe Board of Directors for their visit."
