Thanks to a splendid header off Rachid Ghezzal’s cross, Cenk Tosun gave the Black Eagles a 1-0 lead after 42 minutes. At the outset of the second half, Vincent Aboubakar curled a beautiful shot from outside the box into the top left corner of the net to double the home side’s advantage. The visitors managed to pull one back through Jason Lokili late in the game, but a brilliant solo effort from Nathan Redmond would put the game away for Beşiktaş in injury time.
