Through an own goal from their keeper Mert Günok, the visiting Black Eagles fell 1-0 behind at the start of the game. They managed to recover quickly and created some serious chances for the equaliser, but the home side still held a one goal advantage going into the interval. Despite taking more risks at the back, Beşiktaş continued to press forward in the second half and got rewarded at the 67th minute mark when Cenk Tosun beat Konyaspor keeper with a perfectly-placed low drive. From then on, the game turned into an exciting, end-to-end battle, and an injury-time goal from Josef de Souza gave Beşiktaş a much-needed win on the road.
