Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,

We are leaving behind an unforgettable year in which our men’s football team have won the Super League and Turkish Cup titles and crowned as double champions. Our women’s football team have also captured the national title and made us happy and proud one more time. Now days, it has become a common a view that when one wants to talk about both the men’s and women’s football in this country, the first name comes to mind is Beşiktaş. Achieving these goals in times of extreme economic hardships brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, make them more precious and special to us.

We always have a busy schedule because we are a sports club that engage in more sports disciplines than any other in this country. In 2021, the achievements of our athletics, basketball, boxing, handball, rhythmic gymnastics and wrestling teams all attained with a balanced budget. Furthermore, we restructured our bank loans to run the club’s operations more smoothly. Throughout the year, my management has spared no effort to keep Beşiktaş’ finances healthy. As of today, we do not owe any money to any other institution.

As  we see in the case of Beşiktaş Women’s Volleyball, our teams are now signing  talents that are raised the club’s youth system. Within this perspective, Beşiktaş JK Academy is slowly becoming our main source of young players. We want to make sure that the future of Beşiktaş will be in the hands of our own boys and girls.

In 2021, we have managed to renovate all our sports facilities and received occupancy permit for Vodafone Park Stadium. At the end of this month, we will hold our annual Financial Meeting cancelled due to the pandemic and review the club finances of the past 10 years, also making plans for the upcoming year. Transparency and accountability are the two main pillars upon which we have built our management.
