Thanks to a revamped front line, Black Eagles opened their home game at Vodafone Park with back-to-back goals. First, the newcomer Michy Batshuayi found the net in 7th-minute after being set up with a brilliant pass from Pjanic. Then, Kevin Nkoudou hammered home a bullet strike three minutes later, to double the home side’s lead. It was 2-0 for Beşiktaş at half-time. Batshuayi took advantage of a deflected shot at the outset of the second half to give the high-flying Eagles and their cheering supporters a three-goal cushion to enjoy the rest of the way.
