Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,

Winning all available titles in both the men’s and women’s football, should not turn a blind eye to this administration’s efforts to restructure and upgrade Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball.

Since the first day we assumed office, we have stayed away from the expensive populist policies and implemented cost-effective and long term strategies. Before the start of the season, thanks to an extensive and careful search, we transferred a large group of promising players from the now-defunct Bandırma Banvit Club who went on to form the core of our men’s basketball team. Despite opening their campaing with six straight losses, that young Beşiktaş team recovered and made Turkish Super League’s Final Four this season. In addition, one of their Black Eagles will now take part in the upcoming NBA Draft. We hope to bring similar success stories to our women’s team, who avoided relegation to lower level in a highly competitive league.

With this opportunity, I thank everyone involved in our basketball department that made all these possible. I have no doubt that, with your continued support, we will be back stronger next season.
