Beşiktaş Women’s Basketball soared past Istanbul University 82-68 in the first leg of EuroCup Round of 16 at the home court Akatlar Arena tonight. The teams were neck-to-neck after three quarters, with Beşiktaş clinging to a 61-57 lead. However, riding Cappie Pondexter’s hot-hand, the Lady Black Eagles took complete control in the final stanza en route to a highly advantageous double-digit victory.  Pondexter finished with 25 points and 5 rebounds.
