Starting their first Ziraat Turkish Cup Group C qualifier at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium with mostly reserves, the Black Eagles did not appear too effective against the visitors from the Second Divison in the opening half. Nevertheless, a brilliant solo effort from striker Cenk Tosun, coming in added time, sent them into the dressing 1-0 in front at the break.
 
Unlike the first, the second was all Beşiktaş as Kerim Frie doubled the Super League leaders’ advantage from inside the 6-yard line on 59 minutes. Then, through another close-range effort, Cenk Tosun scored his second of the night to make it 3-0 for Beşiktaş, and from there on it was mere a formality.
