Beşiktaş 1-2 Trabzonspor

The Black and Whites started their second Turkish Super League match at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in an attacking fashion, but despite some good chances, were held goalless at the end of first half. Beşiktaş continued to dictate the tempo at the outset of the second half, however, Yusuf Erdoğan put the visitors unexpectedly in front on 53 minutes. Ricardo Quresma levelled the matters four minutes later with a great shot, only to receive his second card at the 60th minute mark and leave his team a man short. From that point on, the shorthanded Eagles had to focus more on defence as the visitors gained the upper-hand. Erkan Zengin rifled Trabzonspor back into the lead six minutes from the full-time to help his team run out 2-1 winners.
