Fikret Orman: “After a friendly discussion, Mr. Bilic and we’ve decided not to extend our contract. But it is difficult to part ways with him because we were like a family. Not having a home ground cost us dearly during the past two seasons. Mr Bilic has been positive all these tough times and collaborated with us fully. I think we’ve gained a life-time Beşiktaş fan.”
 
Slaven Bilic: “Today is day we bid farewell to Beşiktaş. I am really sad because I’m closing the best part of career. Nevertheless, together with my staff, we are all proud of what we have accomplished here. I’m sure, with the opening of Beşiktaş JK’s new stadium Vodafone Arena, Beşiktaş wiil reach to a higher ground.”      
 
Following the press conference, which took place at the Beşiktaş JK ‘s Nevzat Demir Sports Complex, Beşiktaş JK Chairman Fikret Orman thanked Slaven Bilic for his services and presented him with a plaque.
