Backed by thousands of cheering fans at the Istanbul Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, the newcomers Beşiktaş Mogaz HT ended their European campaign with a home loss tonight, but gained another valuable Champions League experience for the upcoming seasons. Nevertheless, the European powerhouse used its vast experience down the stretch to walk away from Istanbul with a hotly-contested four-goal victory. Ramazan Döne paced Beşiktaş attacks with seven goals. Despite a slow finish, tonight’s performance has proven that Beşiktaş Mogaz HT definitely belonged to the VELUX EHF Champions League.
