Dear Beşiktaş Family,

In an attempt to turn Beşiktaş JK into a well-managed, world-class club, we’ve been trying to reform its administrative, financial and sports affairs since the very first day we’ve assumed office in March 2012. Our main goal has always been to move forward collectively and create a club which we can all be proud of.

With this objective in mind, we’ve boosted our men’s senior football squad with a number of young and promising players from the prominent European teams during the winter break. I have no doubt that these new signings will strengthen our push for glory this season.

To enlarge our player base, we have signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkish First Division side Adanaspor. Through this agreement, we will not only reach out to a number of future stars at their early age, but by reducing their costs, help the Club financially.

In the meantime, Beşiktaş JK’s new stadium Vadofone Arena has reached a milestone with its rough construction work being fully completed. Your Black Eagles are eagerly awaiting to play their first match there. If everything goes according to the plan, we will be able to lift this season’s Super League Cup at our new shrine.

In line with Turkish Republic’s founder Ataturk’s famous saying: “I like sportsmen who are smart, agile and ethical,” our football players Veli Kavlak and Necip Uysal have demonstrated outstanding examples of fair play in their Turkish Cup games against Adana Demirspor. I want you know that we will continue to adhere to Ataturk’s ideals at all times.

By winning both their games, our women’s basketball team have advanced to the quarter-finals stage of the 2015 Eurocup. It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations to their players and coaches. I wish them the best of luck and more success in their next round.

On the other hand, the loss of our young wrestler Cem Yılmaz has saddened our community deeply. With this opportunity, I would like to convey my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

As you all know, the month of February is associated with the St. Valentine’s Day. In this month of romance, I hope your never-ending love for Beşiktaş brings you good health and happiness.
