Beşiktaş suffer 91-83 loss to Tofaş on road
In their Week 5 away game at the Bursa City’s Ataturk Sports Hall, the Black Eagles had a difficult time producing points in the first quarter and were down 23-19 going into the second. Dominating the boards with Hilton Armstrong and Jajuan Johnson, they bounced back to take 46-41 lead before the break and remained in front, 62-61, after three quarters. However, the home team kept them without a basket for three minutes into the final stanza to pull ahead 77-69 midway through the quarter. Beşiktaş responded with a late rally and narrowed the gap to 79-76 down the stretch, only to see Tofaş hit a string of layups in the closing minutes to reestablish their superiority for good. Chris Lofton scored a team-high 19 points for the Beşiktaş Integral Forex, while John Holland poured in 15 and Hilton Armstrong racked up 12.
