Beşiktaş 3-2 Impel Wroclaw

After winning the first leg 3-1 in Poland last week, the Lady Eagles did not expect a strong resistance from their Polish visitors at their return match in Istanbul. However, they had to survive a five-set thriller to make the Challenge Cup Final for the first time in their club’s history. Backed by a vocal home crowd, Beşiktaş Women’s Volleyball took the first two sets 27-25, 25-20, but despite being down 2-0, Impel Wroclaw refused to quit and bounced back to claim the following sets 25-21, 25-22 to force a deciding set. Nevertheless, the fifth and final set saw the determined Lady Eagles regain their composure and close out the game with a well-played 15-9 win. Beşiktaş face Zarechie Odintsovo of Russia in the final.
