The Eagles have landed German-American midfielder (born 3 November 1981 in Germany)  from Bundesliga side Schalke 04 for half season with options to sign him permanently. Jones has previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Blackburn Rovers. He has so far made 38 appearances for the US national team, scoring 2 goals.
