Beşiktaş men’s handball team started the first leg of European Handball Federation Round 2 in Istanbul with a lineup of Altuğ Taşdemir, Josip Buljubasic, Ercan Aşıkoğlu, Oğuzhan Büyük, Ozan Arifoğlu, Vladimir Zelic, Tolga Özbahar and trailed 13-12 going into the intermission. Unable to overcome their Swiss visitors in the second half, they were forced to settle for a draw in the end. The second leg will be played in Switzerland on Sunday, 20 October at 18:00.
