The Eagles started their third pre-season game with an eleven made up of Cenk, Tanju, Sivok, Escude, Ersan, Veli, Fernandes, Olcay, Gökhan, Oğuzhan and Almeida. They had the most chances in the first half but were unable to put them away as the teams headed into the dressing room goalless. The German Bundesliga side took the lead on 57 minutes through Draxler; however, the newcomer Pedro Franco, who entered the match as a substitute in the second half, headed in his first goal of the season off a far-post corner kick from Fernandes few minutes later to close the scoring for the day.
