Beşiktaş JK’s new manager held a press conference at the Eagles’ camp in Germany. Here are some of his thoughts:
 
- I know I am at a great club, and I know the community’s expectations from me. With the help of everyone involved, I will spare no effort to fulfill them.
 
- We are going to set up our game plan according to each player’s skill level. Since we are still in the transfer period, I haven’t decided on what tactics we will use. I like creative players, who can play defence and offence at the same time.
 
- We already have enough stars on our team, so we are not going to sign additional ones. Besides, we should not overspend our budget with costly players.
 
- So far, I am really impressed by the performances of our young players. They all have promising futures ahead of them, but they also need some more experience. These young talents, mixed with our experienced players, will add new depth to the team.
 
-Last season, this team finished third in the league. Despite a tough competition, we hope to improve on it this season.
 
-Almeida and Fernandes are staying with us, and they will continue to be our driving force on the pitch.
 
- Managers need continuity and time to develop a team. They must also provide results and win titles. If I was afraid of the challenges, I wouldn’t be here.
