At the outset of second half, the experienced Greek striker almost had a hat-trick, but his penalty-kick was saved by Beşiktaş keeper McGregor. The Eagles’ defender Gökhan Süzen received a red card in that position and left his team a man short. While the shorthanded Beşiktaş struggled to show any offense, the spirited Akhisar got two more goals from Uğur Demirok and Emin Aladağ to secure all three points.
