Beşiktaş JK vs HBC Nantes 21:24

Despite having no hopes of qualification, Beşiktaş JK made a flying start into their Group D match at the Haldun Alagas and went on to open up a 4-goal lead midway through the first half. However, their fast-paced tempo eventually appeared to wear them down, allowing Nantes to mount a comeback and pull ahead 12-11 at the break.   
 
With a string of unanswered goals, the visitors from France came out all guns blazing in the second half and managed to build a 3-goal cushion, which would remain intact until the end. Tolga Özbahar and Bülent Erkol scored 6 goals each for the Eagles.
