After losing three straight, the Eagles started out their Group D home game against Stiinta Muncipal Dedeman Bacau with a lot of determination and raced to a 15-10 lead at the intermission. The Romanians tried hard to close the gap in the second half, but Beşiktaş weathered all their comeback attempts to squeeze out a 25-23 victory at Istanbul Haldun Alagaş Sports Hall. Ramazan Döne paced the Eagles with 9 goals.
