-So far, I haven’t heard any criticisms about my performance, but if there are any, I don’t care anyway because they are often made by reporters who have never played football in their lives before. They know very little about goalkeeping and how much hard work it takes.
 
-There is a constant competition between me and Cenk Gönen for the number one spot, and he is a very talented keeper, but unfortunately only one of us can play. I had to battle real hard to get my hands on that jersey. Off the pitch, we are great buddies.   
 
-Since we were a newly put together team, we made a poor start into the season but managed to make up for it later on and become a serious title contender.  
 
-When I was playing for Glasgow Rangers, the opposition didn’t bother us much, so I usually had an easy game in goal, but here is a different story. All the teams are equally strong, and it is an up and down game. I have to stay focus at all times.
 
- I believe that I made the right decision by choosing Beşiktaş. Istanbul is a great city, I have a good coach, and the fans are awesome. What else do I want at this stage of my career?
