Eagles open Euroleague Top 16 with home loss

Beşiktaş 75 - 80 BC Khimki Moscow Region

The Eagles played solid defence in the first quarter and were up, 20-14, heading into the second. The Russian team responded with some hot three-point shooting in the second stanza to take a 45-39 lead at halftime. Unable to contain Khimki’s sharpshooters, the Eagles committed too many turnovers during the following quarters as they ended up losing their Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 Group F opener at the Istanbul Abdi İpekçi Sports Hall. Christopher paced the Black and Whites with 20 points while newcomer Ewing added 15.
