Starting the opening game of Turkish Basketball League with a lineup of Serhat Çetin, Jerrells, Christopher, Cevher Özer and Vidmar, the Eagles fell behind 16-14 after the first quarter but battled back to take a 33-27 lead into the break. The second half was neck and neck from the outset, but Beşiktaş played well down the stretch and squeaked out a narrow win. Jerrells and Vidmar each scored 13 points for the Eagles.
