At the Annual Award Ceremony organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Beşiktaş men's basketball team were awarded the Best Turkish Team of 2011/12 Season trophy. In addition to Turkish National Laeague and Cup titles, the Eagles won the EuroChallenge Cup. Beşiktaş Chairman Fikret Orman and players received their trophy from the hands of Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbaş.
