Beşiktaş 3 – 3 Galatasaray

The visitors started the better side and had two early chances, but a Felipe Melo own goal put the Eagles ahead just after 8 minutes. Last season’s champions Galatasaray shook off the shock quickly and levelled through Elmander at the 20th-minute mark. Beşiktaş eventually steadied their ship and regained the lead with Holosko on 42 minutes, only to see Umut knot the score once again just before the half-time.
 
Eagles looked much more determined in the second half and went 3-2 up in the 52nd minute when Holosko scored his second, following a defensive blunder by the visitors’ defence. However, a late, controversial penalty by Selçuk allowed the Galatasaray to escape with a point.
