With a starting eleven of Cenk, İbrahim Toraman, Sivok, Escude, Emre Özkan, Necip, Fernandes, Uğur Boral, Olcay Şahan, Mustafa Pektemek and  Almeida, the Eagles started the away friendly rather slowly and were a goal down after just 2 minutes following a well-taken free-kick by Nunes. Beşiktaş eventually got back into the game and created some excellent chances, but it wasn’t until midway through the second half that their efforts would be rewarded. Newcomer Olcay, who has been in exceptional form all through pre-season, slammed home a brilliant pass from Almedia on 65 minutes to secure the draw.
