Former Eagles star agrees to a 2 year deal

Beşiktaş men’s basketball team, which won three titles last year, will be coached by its legendary player Erman Kunter in new season.


Who is Erman Kunter?


Kunter (born on 8 October 1956 in İstanbul) is a legendary Turkish former professional basketball player and now the head coach of Beşiktaş. He played for İTÜ, Beşiktaş, Eczacıbaşı, Yenişehir, Fenerbahçe and Çukurova Sanayispor in Turkey.
He scored 153 points of his team's 175 points against Hilalspor in 1988 (81 in the first half) which is still a record in Turkey. He played 213 times for the Turkish national team and scored 3,626 points.
He coached Darüşşafaka, Beşiktaş, Turkish national basketball team, Galatasaray in Turkey and Cholet Basket and Asvel Villeurbanne in France. In 2010, he won the French title with Cholet Basket.
