Eagles edge Efes 80-76, to capture national title

Taking the floor with a lineup of David Hawkins, Carlos Arroyo, Ersin Dağlı, Mehmet Yağmur and Mensah-Bonsu, they were up only 40-39 at the break but redoubled their efforts in the second half to win the best-of-seven Turkish League finals 4-2. After EuroChallenge and Turkish Cups, it was their third title this season. Eagles last lifted the League trophy in 1975.
