She earned her title after defeating Russian European Champion Tatiana Kosintseva in the 7th round of 2011 World Women’s Chess Team Championship, which took place in Mardin City, Turkey. Following the victory, the new Grand Master shared her thoughts with our website: ‘I’ve been battling quite a long time for this title. It carries a special meaning for me because I’ve not only won it by beating one of the best, but I’ve won it in my own country.
