Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
We are all shocked by the recent match-fixing inquiry, which led to some of our managing staff being remanded in custody and overshadowed our preparations for the new season. However, I am confident we will come out of these allegations with our heads up because we have done nothing wrong, and we have full confidence in Turkish justice.
As you all know,  we have returned our Turkish Cup to the Football Federation until the trial is over, a gesture highly commended by the UEFA and football lovers around the world.
I am sure you will stand by us during these difficult times and support us against the forces of injustice. During its 108 years of existence, Beşiktaş JK has never, I repeat never, engaged in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any one. The trial will prove to the world that we are actually the true pillar of fair play in this country. Once this ordeal is over, you will enjoy our new and strengthened team. I take this opportunity to wish you and all our opponents a successful season.
