İbrahim Toraman, Holosko and newcomer Bebe scored one goal each as Beşiktaş took their first pre-season match against third division side SV Austria Salzburg 3-1

Playing with a starting lineup consisting of Rüştü Reçber, İsmail Köybaşı, Ekrem Dağ, İbrahim Toraman, Sidnei, Necip Uysal, Fabian Ernst, Manuel Fernandes, Simao Sabrosa, Ricardo Quaresma and Hugo Almeida, the Black Eagles struggled in the first half and had to wait until the 44th-minute to level the scores at 1-1 on an İbrahim Toraman header.
 
Beşiktaş fielded a different lineup Cenk Gönen, İbrahim Toraman, Tomas Sivok, Guti Hernandez, Mehmet Aurelio, Roberto Hilbert, Veli Kavlak, Tanju Kayhan, Filip Holosko, Bebe and Mustafa Pektemek) in the second half and saw Holosko and Bebe come up with  two well organised goals that helped the Black Eagles emerge with a 3-1 victory.
