Beşiktaş men’s handball team defended their Super League title with a 33-27 win over İzmir Büyükşehir Belediye SK at the Süleyman Seba Sports Hall today.

The Eagles started the match, watched by Executive Board Members Metin Keçeli, Doğan Küçükemre, Orhan Saka, Ahmet Akpınar, Club General Manager Murat Ülgen and Turkish Handball Federation Presdent Bilal Eyüboğlu, rather nervously and trailed 16-13 at the interval.
Beşiktaş played the second half like the way they were capable of, and after drawing level 20-20 at the 10th-minute mark, went on to claim a 33-27 win that made them the 2011 Super League Champions with a 2-0 series win. The title is their third this season after the Super and Turkish Cups.
