Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
As a leading club with 108 years of proud history, Beşiktaş have always initiated “firsts” in Turkish sports while undertaking  a number social responsibilities no other club has ever dreamt of. In light of this fact, we have launched our disability sports section, which happens to be the first among professional sports clubs in Turkey, few years back to provide our disabled sportspersons with an opportunity to field their talents. We have also spared no effort to make this department a successful one. As a result, we hosted the 2006 European Wheelchair Basketball Champions League Finals in Istanbul and offered our fans with disability a unique chance to watch the best in this sport.
This year, we took the department’s activities a little further and held the Andre Vergauwen Cup Finals in our city. As you will all recall, our wheelchair team came second in this prestigious tournament last year, considered to be the second best in Europe after the Champion’s League. In addition to an extremely successful organization, which was envied by many, our lads put in an outstanding effort and won the title, making us proud once more. I would like take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the event and congratulate the team and coaches for doing a great job.
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
As a part of our professionally managed youth system, while our Academy Under-17s won the 2010-11 national title, Under-15s came close second but made the Turkish Cup Final. These results have shown us that the future of Beşiktaş is in good hands. Take my word, we will see some of them wearing senior team jerseys in not so distance future. My congratulations go to all of them and to their coaches.
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
We have signed sponsorship deals with the Garanti and Deniz Banks to boost Beşiktaş’s revenues. From now on, those fans using Beşiktaş Bonus credit cards will be contributing to our club. If you want your dreams come true, Beşiktaş have to be strong financially so you must come out and support us in this matter I urge all of you to take action without any delay.
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
As you all know, the month of May has a special meaning for us. On May 19, 1919, the greatest Beşiktaş fan and father of Turkish nation Mustafa Kemal Atatürk had kicked off the Turkish Independence War in Samsun City. Today, that date is being marked as Youth and Sports Day. With this opportunity, I celebrate this occasion with you and hope that such days will make us remember our history and enrich our lives more and more.
Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
In late April, we were all deeply saddened by loss of our player Emre İncemollaoğlu, who passed away in an unfortunate traffic accident. I wish his family lots of strength to cope with their loss. God rest his soul.
With my deepest love and respect,
Yıldırım Demirören
Chairman, Beşiktaş JK
