Efes Pilsen 86, Beşiktaş Cola Turka 83

Visiting Efes Pilsen saw off Beşiktaş Cola Turka, 86-83, in Week 29 action at Cola Turka Arena this afternoon. 

The visitors raced out to an 9-2 in the early going, but consecutive buckets by Ogilvy, and Ignerski  carried the Eagles on top, 12-11, midway through the opening quarter. They managed to hold onto that lead during the remaining minutes and were up by six, 25-19, after one. Beşiktaş Cola Turka took the margin to double-digits at the outset of the second, leading by as many as 10 points, 35-25, only to see Efes Pilsen unleash a late rally and trim the deficit to one, 48-47, at the half. 
After Ignerski hit a couple of free throws to start the third stanza, the Black and White went on to open up a five point, 60-55, edge at the halfway point. Then, with a string of unanswered  layups, Ogilvy got hot once again to give the Eagles a 72-63 advantage, entering the fourth. Beşiktaş Cola Turka went with a basket in the first two and half minutes of the final quarter as Efes Pilsen pulled within two, 72-70. After Ignerski drained a 27-foot three-pointer to end the Eagles’ drought, the game turned into a seesaw battle. With a minute left to play, the teams were tied at 80. The visitors took a four point lead, 84-80, on Kerem Tunçeri’s fadeaway with 19 seconds remaining on the clock, but Cüneyt Erden responded with a long trey to cut the deficit to one, 84-83. Nevertheless, Rakovevic’s last-second free throws lifted Efes Pilsen to an 86-83 win.   
Ogilvy finished with a game-high 22 points, followed by Ignerski (17), Serkan Erdoğan (17), Cüneyt Erden (9), Bekir Yarangüme (8), Chatman (4), Likholitov (4) and Cevher Özer (2).
