Before Saturday’s Istanbul derby against arch-rival Fenerbahçe, our web site interviewed Beşiktaş  women’s basketball team’s Head Coach Aziz Akkaya and Captain Yasemin Horasan. 

Aziz Akkaya:  League-leading  Fenerbahçe is definitely a formidable team to beat. Even though we will miss our key player Kelly Silva Santos, who sprained her ankle in the practice the other day, we’ll do our best to defeat them at home.  
Yasemin Horasan: It sure is a difficult matchup; but these types of  games have a different atmosphere, and you never know who comes on top in the end. If we are going to be amongst the best and gain home-court advantage, we have to win this derby.
The teams will battle it out at BJK Cola Turka Arena on Saturday at 13:00.
