After Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s narrow victory which knocked mighty Efes Pilsen out the Turkish Cup, Head Coach Ergin Ataman spoke on his team’s performance:

“It turned out to be a defensive battle all the way through as both teams failed to put points on the board. We were not very effective offensively today because, in addition to our injuries, some our new players were playing together for the first time. Despite these setbacks, we focused on defense and tried to remain within reach of Efes Pilsen the entire game. Our patient play paid off its dividends  in the end. As I promised, with this win, we made up for our league loss against them. It is nice to see the luck coming our way for a change. Our mission is not completed. We have two more games to go. Now, we are looking forward to our next opponent.”
