Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s prolific scorer Serhat Çetin gave his own account of the Eagles’ victory over Efes Pilsen:

“For some reasons, we couldn’t get our offense going today and didn’t shoot the ball very well. But  where we failed offensively, our defense made up for it. Especially in the second half, we battled real hard defensively and managed to keep Efes away from the basket. This is a new team, and we are playing together for the first time in an official game. Coming on top against a formidable opponent is definitely a good sign for our future. Now, we have to win two more games to lift the Cup and we are ready for them.”
