Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s Australian-born player James Oglivy, who had an outstanding evening against Efes Pilsen and scored the wining basket last night, was named the game’s MVP.
He stayed on the floor for 31 minutes and finished the game with 19 points and 11 boards. Oglivy received his award from Mr. İbrahim Yapar, the Head of Kayseri City Municipality Affiliates Board. He spoke to our website after his team’s victory: “After taking part in last week’s All-Star game, which happened to be a first in my career, I think I put in a solid effort in this one as well. I am glad I am becoming more adjusted to the team every other game. I’d like thank all our fans for their unwavering support that brought me to these days. We were not very productive offensively, but especially in the second half, we played great defense and managed to beat a formidable opponent. Making that last second shot, which helped us to the next round, was also a real thrill for me. If our fans back us up like the way did tonight, we are surely going to bring that Cup to our museum.”
