On Day 16 of the Turkish Super League, Milli Piyango edged injury-depleted Beşiktaş men’s handball team 36-32 at the Cebeci Prof Dr. Yaşam Sevim Sports Hall in Ankara to end the Eagles’ 15-match winning streak.

Playing without Zeliç, Utku Ergüder, Umut Kırkayak and Ercan Aşıkoğlu, the Eagles gave everything they got in the first half but still trailed by 2 goals, 17-15, going into the dressing room at the break.
It looked to be anyone’s game in the excitement-filled second half, but with their key players sitting out, Beşiktaş failed to pull ahead and settled for a 36-32 loss that ended their 15-game winning streak. Despite the loss, the Black and Whites sit safely atop the table.
